- Aegis M-1: New Airship Prototype, developed by EAARF. This aircraft is a much smaller and sleeker version of the Ragnarok. The Aegis1 which Seifer is piloting in “Expansion” is from this series
- Aleph (α) or the First Seal of Goetia: This seal has already been broken. During their Centra mission Quistis felt the powerful unleashing of this first seal of power. She was almost completely drained by it. The swift intervention of Hephaestus prevented a more devastating result. The breaking of the seal affected Rinoa, Matron and Ellone in equal measure, but in them the effect was much milder, because they were further removed from the Seal’s center of power. Being magic sensitive, Selphie was able feel it was well, but she was not affected like the others.
- BLISS: Street name of a very expensive designer drug. The drug is said to affect the bloodstream directly, and creates an incredible state of euphoria in the user. Unfortunately, the side effects of such highs is deep depression, and a growing dependance on the drug. Repeated use can cause severe hallucination, and a perpetual state of schizophrenia. The original intent of the drug, which was created by Odine in secrecy during Adel’s reign, was to induce potential sorceress ‘candidates’ to experience full power, only to have that power suppressed by the same drug. It is uncertain if Odine tested the drug, but when Adel’s reign crumbled, his need for the drug disappeared (Odine feared Adel’s sorceress power and created the drug just in case he had to protect himself). Odine, then, sold the drug patent to a Centran pharmaceutical company which marketed the drug as an anti-depressant. When the side effects of the drug became too wide-spread to control, the powerful pharmaceutical firm recalled the drug, but it had already made its way into the streets under the name of BLISS. BLAST is a cheaper (and more lethal) version of the same drug. In some circles, the cocktail known as Bliss&Blast has become quite popular. There are huge drug trades going on in all major cities around the world, including Balamb (although to a much lesser degree in here…).
- Clavicula Grimoire: Grimoires are usually books of magical knowledge. The Book of Ormus is an example of a lesser Grimoire. However, no one, including Ormus himself, knows much of the Clavicula Grimoire save that it was entrusted to Lord Odin by his forebearers. He in turn, before his hour of doom, entrusted the safekeeping of it to the Great Matriarch of the Kashkabald people.
- Doom of Astaroth: The foretold end of Odin’s Kingdom and of their civilization more than a millennium ago. Present day Astaroth is the Centra Ruins.
- EAARF: Estharian Aerospace and Aeronautic Research Facility. The Director is Dr. Johannes Piet.
- Fravashir: The ancient name for Guardian Spirit, or Guardian Force in common speech
- FRT: Free Republic of Timber. New country formed after the withdrawal of Galbadian forces. Zone Allouette, leader of the Timber Owls Party, was it’s first President.
- Gesperthane: New material developed by Esthar’s new bionano-technology. The fabric is a flame retardant and is smart enough to ‘adapt’ to the contours of the wearer’s body. Seifer’s jumpsuit is a prototype combat-suit made of Gesperthane. The incredible yield, flexibility and resistance of this new material makes it ideal for combat suits. The problem: the cost is prohibitive.
- Seal of Goetia: The last of the seven seals of power. Nobody knows what it will unleash if this seal is broken.

- Lunatic Pandora Project or LP: International cooperation effort to calibrate and control the Lunar Cry phenomena by studying the Crystal Pillar inside Lunatic Pandora. Teams of SeeDs must fight their way to the core of this gargantuan structure (3 miles in height and 1.5 miles in width). This project was started through the initiative of President Loire.
- Ragnarok: Estharian prototype which doubles as both a spaceship and an airship. Since the Sorceress Wars, Esthar had donated the ship to Balamb Garden.
- Sibelius Project: Current project that Seifer is working on alongside Johannes Piet. Secret.
- STYLISH YOU!
- Order of Zaruthra: A mysterious order mentioned in the Book of Ormus. Apparently the Order exists even in the present, more than two thousand years later. It is unclear when it was actually founded and by whom.
- Temple of Zaruthra: Located in the heart of Sector107, the temple has become a hotspot for all hip and rich Estharians.
